Former Brown and HOFer Joe DeLamielleure Talks About Change From Running To Passing League

Joe DeLamielleure, Pro Football Hall of Fame offensive lineman and former Brown and Buffalo Bill, called in to talk about Hall of Fame Weekend. Joe talked about his playing days, and some of his opposition over the years and favorite memories in his career. Joe talked about the difference in today’s game protecting the quarterback as compared to his era, which was primarily a running league. Joe talked about the dying off of “one-back” teams, relying on 2-3 players to handle carrying the ball. Ultimately, Joe agreed the changes the game has made into a passing league is good for football. Joe also talked about his walk from Buffalo to Canton to help raise money for a young man who needed new prosthetic legs.
