MACKLIN, Sask. – A Calgary man is facing numerous charges after he led police on a wild chase over parts of western Saskatchewan on Tuesday morning.

RCMP say it began when officers investigating a break and enter and thefts of vehicles and snowmobiles in the Unity area were alerted to a suspicious truck.

A patrol officer spotted the truck towing a trailer stolen from Kerrobert south of Unity and attempted to pull it over.

The chase started when the suspect attempted the ram the police vehicle and fled, leading Mounties on a 120 kilometre chase throughout the Unity, Kerrobert and Luseland areas.

Spike belts were deployed twice but the suspect drove through ditches, fences and fields to avoid being captured.
