EAST RUTHERFORD — General manager Jerry Reese and coach Tom Coughlin often like to pull out motivation tools to inspire the Giants.

Reese does not enjoy the fact that the Giants have been to the postseason only once — albeit a Super Bowl season — in four years, even though they finished with three winning records and an 8-8 mark. So he is placing a calendar in the locker room that started at 190 on Saturday and will count down the number of days until Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium.
